TARGET ILI

Regulators around the world, and in Europe (via the EU Drinking Water Directive) are mandating the reporting of ILIs and progress towards achieving specific ILI targets — but a target set at policy level doesn’t tell you whether it’s achievable on your network, or what it will take to get there.

Target ILI answers that question with evidence, not assumption.

Using your bursts, pressure and network hierarchy data, we test your ILI target against two independent levers — burst-duration reduction (Active Leakage Control) and pressure reduction — both for the whole utility and for your largest, highest-impact zones. The result is a clear, defensible verdict: is the target achievable, what combination of interventions gets you there, and which zones should you prioritise first.

  • Whole-utility feasibility verdict against your ILI target
  • Zone-level feasibility assessment for your largest/priority zones
  • Sensitivity analysis showing the ILI impact of burst-duration reduction vs. pressure reduction, so you can see which lever moves your number fastest
  • Target average pressure required to reach your ILI target, whole-utility and by zone
  • Zone prioritisation matrix, sorting zones into pressure-led, ALC-led, combined, or lower-priority categories, with a recommended intervention plan
  • Summary technical report

Utilities that have been set an ILI target — by a regulator, a directive, or an internal commitment — and need to know, with evidence, whether it’s realistic and how to get there, before committing budget to a delivery plan.
